Abstract

|
Pancreatoblastoma ia a rare pancreatic neoplasm initially believed to occur exclusively in young children. The tumor has distinctive histological features, being composed predominantly of small primitive cells with formation of organoid "squamoid
corpuscles" in pancreas. This is a case report of pancreatoblastoma in a 6-year-old girl, who underwent pylorus-preserving pancreaticoduodenectomy and was treated postoperative radiotherapy for residual tumor in-casing the superior mesenteric
vein.
We
also reviewed the cases reported in Korean literature from 1980 through 1992.
